 IELTS band scores

You are given a band score for each aspect Reading, Writing, Speaking,  listening, and overall band score too. The overall band score is calculated using the average score of all the above aspects.

Ex: Listening 8.5

Reading 8.5

Writing 7.0

Speaking 8.0

Overall 8.0

The overall band score is calculated to the closest entire band score.

Ex:

When your overall band score is 7.1 your score is decreased to 7.0 because 7.1 is closer to 7.0 than to 7.5. When your actual score is counted to 7.90, you will be given 8.0 because 7.90 is closer to 8.0 than 6.5.
