IELTS Listening Test
- The listening test should be completed in 30 minutes.
- You will be given extra 10 minutes to transfer the answer to the answer sheet.
- The test is exactly the same for both Academic and general training.
- 04 sections are there in the listening module.
- The test gets difficult gradationally.
- The most important thing is audio clip is played only once and it consists of different accents eg : British, Australian and American.
- After each section ,You will be given some time to recheck the answers you have written.
- Answers can be found in the same order as the information on the recording.
- Do not spend much time on one question. If you miss listening to the relevant answer just move on.
- Each correct answer carries one mark.
- One spelling mistake is taken as a wrong answer.
- IELTS is accepted both American and British spellings.
- A hyphenated word is counted as one word ( brother-in- law Is one word).
- Concentrate about the grammar. If you hear a singular noun do not write the plural form of it since it is taken as a wrong answer. Eg: flower - flowers
- Answers should be written clearly with correct spelling since a spelling mistake is taken as a wrong answer.
