Part 01
Do you prefer to travel?
Yes, Obviously! In my opinion, exploring beautiful places is what life is all about. All I want is to travel after earning money. It refreshes my soul, changes my mind, and makes me away from my busy schedule.
Have you visited many places?
Yes. I have visited many destinations. Recently I went to the countryside with my friends and it was fantastic. I would like to visit every type of place where someone can enjoy the day.
What would you like to do on your holidays?
Of course, I am fond of visiting various places of interest. For example, last weekend I visited a beautiful resort called Sooriya resort and it was a great day. Sometimes I love to go shopping where I can buy branded kinds of stuff.
Do you like to travel alone or with a group?
I always choose to travel with my family since I comfort to plan the trip by myself when setting the schedule and selecting the destinations. I like independent traveling since then only I am able to see and walk exactly where I want and then I am free to spend much time at various stops.

I would like to talk about Adam’s peak which I visited a couple of months ago. If you have been to Srilanka you are aware of this place since this is very famous in the country. People call it Sripada temple too. As I mentioned earlier, I love to visit beautiful places but I have no time to go out for a lot of trips. Before the corona pandemic, I went to Adam’s peak. and I don’t exactly remember the perfect date and it was in the month of March 2019.
Adam’s peak is a mountain which is located in central Srilanka and it is known as a sacred footprint too. Buddhist traditions believe that there is the footprint of Buddha.
It was a trip organized by my friends and there were 8 friends of mine. Firstly we decided to take a train from Colombo and then we had to take a van. We saw beautiful streams, mountains, tree gardens, and landscapes. After a hectic journey, we reached the summit and that was the most attractive part of the trip. On the top of the mountain, it was really calm and more peaceful than I expected.
The next day we went to Nuwaraeliya and unfortunately it had been raining there heavily. We had to stay the entire day watching films in the room and it still feels happy to recall the memory of it since all my closest friends were there. We were supposed to come back after two days and we returned after 3 days even though the weather is not good. However, the trip has proven the saying “ If you wanna go far, go together “ since we had climbed a 7500 feet mountain without much effort.

Would you recommend foreigners to visit your country?
Yes obviously. My country is known as one of the best countries to travel to in order to it has a balanced climate throughout the year. It has unique places and People in my country always welcome others nicely.
As you think about how do people choose their traveling destination?
In my case, I always explore the internet for needed information. I have noticed some people get advice from travel agencies. Nevertheless visiting the recommended places is the best way to see beautiful places.
Do you think tourism has developed in your country?
Well, before the corona pandemic, tourism was at its peak in our economy. And also we didn’t need much money to travel and find accommodation. The situation has changed now due to the economic crisis in our country as the living cost is high. Still, I expect the tourism industry will be developed with time.
What are the transport ways on holidays?
When it comes to me it depends. I often go to my destination by car. But I found it a bit uncomfortable since I get tired of driving. I sometimes prefer to travel by train. However,. I have been waiting to travel by plane.
Which places would you prefer to visit in the future?
I have not visited abroad yet except Dubai. Once I visited Dubai with my family. First of all, I have a desire to go to all the places in my country and then I would love to travel to Italy since I am always captivated by the beauty of Italy.
