Tips to follow when explaining a process diagram

Use time connectors.

When explaining a diagram time connectors should be used to connect all the steps since it is a series of several events.

Ex:

  • It all began
  • firstly
  • To begin
  • First of all
  • Next
  • After that
  • Secondly
  • Then
  • At last
  • Finally
  • Following this

Use passive voice

When explaining a diagram always we cant write active voice sentences. If the process is a natural event there is no subject at the beginning of the sentence. When the subject is not at the beginning we have to write the sentences using passive.

Ex: Then, the water should be added

In this sentence, there is no subject. That is why it has been written using passive. Find the passive voice lesson and practice before you take the IELTS exam.

Break the monotony of your language.

You can change nouns into verbs and verbs into nouns.

Ex;

Delivering bricks -Bricks are delivered.

Packing vegetables- vegetables are packed.
